  Hmm - G20's new look health care system? From press reports in the 1990s the Blaires were given to unusual beliefs (see link and quote below) which I later found out certain members of my ex-cong held. I was extremely surprised to find a small group of people who believed in energy blockages and some sort of dowsing. In their case they liked to use electricity. They were always ill and remain ill although several have died of cancer and one has dementia.
  

  A nebulous illness was always useful for some. It appeared that they didn't want to be cured without having another up their sleeve.

  An elder (one time close friend) did a lot of stuff on water with late poet laureate Ted Hughes. Read an interview ages back where Ted said he was wrong on pursuing water stuff and should have done climate change. Sorry I can't tell you where I read it or look at it again to double check my facts. So if I am misquoting, sorry.
  

  The idea seems to have been to have a global concern that affected everyone - in this case water purity. But it didn't really catch on (no fishing pun intended :))

  But before I got thrown out, I went to see this elder friend to see if he could help avert the situation where I blew the whistle very publicly on the GB's apostacy against the inspired words of the prophet Daniel. In particular that the 3rd year of Jehoiakim's rulership was the 3rd year.

  This elder told me I could not be certain that Jehoiakim's 3rd year of rulership was actually his 3rd year of Jehoiakim's rulership. I told him I was certain. He called me irrational. I asked him to look at 7 scriptures that proved it. He refused to look at these scriptures with me.

  I am guessing he knew I would not take the strong stand I was taking if I wasn't certain of my facts. So he refused to look at the real figures. Instead he insulted me and sought to undermine my confidence. When he did that... well I never expected this man, who I knew as being kind, would ever do such a thing to me. I can't put into words what I felt, all I can say is that I wouldn't want to oppose the words of the true God.

  Don't ask me why coronavirus exists. You may as well ask me why there are earthquakes and wars. But... have you thought of this - social distancing make paedophilia very difficult. That's a big plus for some.

  Imagine being a little girl at school and being subjected in the playground to things the boys have learnt in class from their teachers. Imagine how you'd feel afterwards. Suicidal maybe? And no one listens and you don't even have the words to explain. Then it comes to light what has happened and you get blamed as the perpetrator and you don't even know what you are doing and in your bewiderment you cry out to God. Next day - all the schools close. You might be one very happy little girl again.

  Legal Concerns About "Zoom" Meetings!

  this whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.

  if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.

  even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.

  I'm hearing of reports that they are being asked, while on Zoom, "are you here voluntarily?" That may be a local thing, just making converstation. But if it is happening generally, it could be significant.

  I was thrown out and people with good intentions suggested I sue the Watchtower. But I knew that when you attend a church it is voluntary, or supposed to be. It is more like a club not an employer. You made the decision to go freely, you leave freely. It's like buyer beware, you have to do your own due diligence.

  Applauding the NHS (UK)

  hi, just curious to know if anyone knows of witnesses not applauding the nhs on thursday night.

  all i know is for some reason my mum and aunt only went out to listen but didn’t take part in the applause.

  not sure if they were just being strange or if there has been instruction not to take part.

  Interesting observation Snugglebunny - I explained to a non Watchtower person what had happened to me (when I was thrown out for sticking to the words of the prophets Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel) and he said, the Watchtower sounds like its acts like the Labour Party.

  so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

  Phizzy they'll never get paid what they deserve. They are the same as Watchtower publishers - some are truely excellent and their goodwill keeps things running but their goodwill is abused. They are rarely given the support they need to do things properly. In my personal experience, I was hamstrung from doing my job. So much so I had a choice, lose my health carrying an impossible burden or walk. I walked from the NHS to preserve my health.

  Just like I walked from the Watchtower because the organisation tells massive lies.

  2020 Memorial - No Need To Actually Have The Emblems

  over at jw talk they're saying because they're having to hold the upcoming memorial at home, they dont need to actually have the emblems.

  apparently, listening to or watching the talk is the thing that counts.. "do this in rememberence of me" apparently means watching tony morris on your phone give a talk.. this begs the question... "what's the point?

  we all know that things are all going to be way different when we get through this milestone.. like hurricane katrina, people survived this but new orleans even 16 years later is way different.

  our economy is like a shark that must keep moving through the water.

  stop it and it will die.. the witnesses like many people in the world, have little to no savings.

  Yes - Zoom is their way forward. Or something similiar if their experiment in Zoom doesn't tick all their boxes.
  

  Vocabulary is considered to be a path to understanding the inner man - sooo should make vocabulary analysis nice and easy for them to pick out who ain't mentally in. Can you hear the screws being tightened? Vocabulary analysis plus key performance indicators to assess behavior.
  

  Also, the fear of the virus might drive those on the fence back in who would initially feel safe in this environment, only to find the trap closes after the panic lifts.

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  Some are saying St Corona is the patron saint of pandemics. Others dispute this but she is associated with money and ironically the stock market has crashed. Whoever comes up with cure might make enough money to pay off the cost of getting through this.
